2009 New Texas Driving Law

New for the 2009 year; the state of Texas will now require applicants to provide proof of lawful US citizenship to get their driver’s license. This law is put into effect not only to keep the road clear of any vehicle operators that are not lawful citizens but to crack down on identity fraud. If you want a driver’s license or state ID card then you will definitely have to show proof that you are indeed a U.S. citizen, or legal permanent resident.
